About the role & About us
The aim of Healthy Cornwall is to improve the health and wellbeing of the population of Cornwall, in particular reducing health inequalities. This includes working with people from areas of high deprivation or those who are socially excluded.

The postholder will work as part of the Healthy Cornwall training team concentrating specifically on the delivery of the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) course to individuals and organisations across Cornwall to give people the skills to have a healthy conversation in order to improve healthy choices.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months and may represent a suitable secondment opportunity for existing Cornwall Council employees. If you wish to be considered for a secondment, please obtain your manager's permission before applying.

This position will be subject to an enhanced criminal record disclosure check.

This is a public/customer-facing role, where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

About you
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of delivering training to adults, health improvement and the ability to motivate, inspire and influence people to make healthy lifestyle changes.

You will be client and results focused, and keen to improve your knowledge and skills working as part of a large team to help develop the work of Healthy Cornwall.

You will have a relevant professional qualification or significant experience in the delivery of training. The successful candidate will need to be flexible in working regular evenings and travel within the locality and on occasions countywide.
