With the longer days and warmer weather there is no better time to 'spring into Action' and Get Active!

There are plenty of activities for you and the whole family to get involved in over the coming months.

Here is what's on offer:

National Golf Month - Held across the UK in May - Cornwall golf clubs will offer a wide range of opportunities to attract beginners and returners to the sport. They include Get into Golf Open Days, structured weekly group coaching sessions, Learn to play golf in a day initiatives, 'Tee it Up' playing events and membership offers throughout May.

Get on the Water Month - May signifies a great time to kick start a summer of sport and National Watersports Month promises to provide an action packed schedule of activities across Cornwall.

Canoeing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, kayaking, stands up paddleboarding, cruising and more will all be on offer from clubs, centres and marinas across the county.

Get into Gig Rowing - As part of the National Watersports Month, The Cornish Pilot Gig Association (CPGA) have organised a 'recruitment day' to encourage everyone to come and have a go at Gig Rowing.

Taster sessions will be held throughout Cornwall on:

2014 Great British Tennis Weekends
- Hundreds of Open Days are taking place throughout the country!

You can take part in the Great British Tennis Weekends on the 17th-18th May, 21st-22nd June, 28th-29th June & 19th-20th July. Tennis venues are offering free tennis and coaching for people of all ages and abilities.

Back to Hockey
- England Hockey aim to attract thousands of women back to hockey! From 28th April to 2nd June 2014, over 200 clubs across the country will be delivering Back to Hockey sessions for those who haven't played before or might not have played since school or university.

Don't worry if your new to the game or haven't played for a while, Back to Hockey coaches will gently guide you through this series of fun and friendly sessions. Along the way you will also make new friends and some sites even hold their own social for that much deserved cup of tea and slice of cake after a session.
