Between 11am- 4pm locals are invited to get stuck in to a host of activities that will be offer and encouraging everyone to try their hand at horse riding at the centres open day.

Proprietors of the British Horse Society and Pony Club approved centre, Lisa and Alistair Todd, are keen to show the local community their fantastic facilities, friendly horses, ponies and team and give those who want to get in the saddle the chance to try it out. This Sunday visitors can have a go on Henry the mechanical horse, enjoy showjumping and dressage displays given by the centres working pupils, jump until their hearts are content on the bouncy castle and play some of the many games that will be on offer.

Nestled in 26 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside and only twenty minutes from some of England's finest beaches, Barguse is the ideal place to get to grips with horse riding and explore some of the country's beautiful scenery. Barguse have been offering a specialist programme of riding, Take Back The Reins (TBTR), since 2012 aimed at adults who would like to reap the benefits of equestrian sport.

"Take Back The Reins has been hugely successful for adults who want to start horse riding; not only has it helped people to tone up and get fit but the groups that have taken part have loved the social side of the course. There are so many beneficial aspects from fitness to learning new skills" explains Lisa.

The TBTR programme has been designed by the British Equestrian Federation's participation brand, Hoof, to make the first steps into the saddle as easy and care free as possible. Each TBTR course consists of a seven week series of lessons and is tailored to the individual.
