Charity Cricket Day in Truro

CWB Cricket Coaching Day

On Friday 19 August 30 young people, aged 5 to 12, took part in a 'Cricket Without Boundaries' coaching day at Truro Cricket Club.

The day started with a quick slideshow showing the youngsters, and their parents, from all over Cornwall,  some of the work the charity does. It highlighted the poor facilities in Rwanda and helped to raise the profile of the charity that raises awareness of HIV and Aids through cricket.

Truro Cricket Club donated the lunch and refreshments for the day and all the coaches gave up a day's work to help out; with Adrian Noott from Falmouth CC, Rob Harrison from Callington CC, Joe Dale and Tim Marrion both from Truro CC doing the coaching.

The day raised £400 for the charity which will go a long way in raising the awareness of HIV and Aids through cricket by supporting the planned visit this October by eight Cricket Without Boundaries volunteer coaches to Rwanda.
