Cornwall Disability Swimming Training

A new County Training Session for swimmers with a disability in Cornwall has been established.

The session will take place every six weeks and will be held at Truro School.

The first session is an Open Session, and is open to any swimmer with a disability, who can swim lengths. The aim of this session is to engage with as many swimmers with a disability as we can to help increase the numbers of disabled swimmers accessing swimming provision.

From this session swimmers will be signposted into further swimming opportunities, which include local swim schemes, local clubs and county and regional training and competitions.

Further sessions will provide the opportunity for swimmers with a disability in Cornwall to access additional training, as well meet and train with other swimmers with a disability.

Session information:

Venue: Truro School
Date: 30 March - future dates include: 11 May, 22 June, 14 September, 26 October
Time: 7pm-9pm
Cost: The Open Session will be free of charge, but there will be a small cost for future sessions and SW Disability Swimming Squad Membership Options will be available.

To attend the session swimmers must be able to swim at least 25 metres on at least one stroke.
