The Cross Country finals are the first of the primary finals to count towards this years' 'Champions Race'. The race recognises depth and breadth of performance across all the finals events throughout the year - every child and event counts!

The event organised by School Games Organisers, Cornwall Sports Partnership and 20 Young Leaders is part of a series of qualifiers and finals in over 35 different sports that take place throughout the year. More than 20,000 young people from across Cornwall will take part and the series reaches its peak at the main summer games that will be held on Friday 29th June in Penryn.

Rachel Knott, one of the event organisers from Cornwall Sports Partnership said: "This is always a great competition and a fantastic opportunity for primary school children to come together to sample the atmosphere of a county final in a sport they love."
