Cornwall Sports Partnership value the work of volunteers in Sport

Cornwall Sports Awards Trophies

In order to recognise the dedicated and committed volunteers that make sport happen Cornwall Sports Partnership has launched the 2015 Cornwall Sports Awards as well as their new Sports Volunteer of the Month programme.

Do you know an invaluable volunteer, coach, instructor, official or club member who goes above and beyond to make sport happen? Show your appreciation by nominating them in the 2015 Cornwall Sports Awards or as one of our volunteers of the month.

These two exciting programmes has been designed to recognise and reward the contributions made by dedicated sports Coaches, Instructors, Officials, Clubs, Volunteers and Young Leaders from across the county.

The Awards are separated into four categories and incorporate 14 separate Awards, including Club of the Year, Children's Coach of the Year and Lifetime Services to Sport.

Michael Kent - Performance & Development Coach of the Year from the 2014 Cornwall Sports Awards said ' To receive recognition for all the hard work me and my fellow colleagues have put in and the support I have received from my committee in bringing the club and myself to this point is unbelievable.  A very delightful evening with like-minded people and a joyous atmosphere celebrating all sports with my fellow peers.  A tremendous event which should inspire everyone to nominate someone next year!'.

She continued "anyone can nominate so please don't be shy and it's time to recognise and reward that groundsman, official or coach that goes beyond the call of the duty to make your club, association or organisation tick over day to day"

Nominations can be made ONLINE HERE and a printable version is also available. Alternatively please contact Natasha Howard on nhoward@cornwall.gov.uk or 01872 323347.
