Energy Club is a fun, free physical activity club for kids aged 4-11, delivered by trained volunteers at Primary Schools across England.
Physical activity should be a healthy and fun part of all children's lives. By enabling kids to be active, Energy Club will help ensure they remain healthy and happy; they'll also help them to learn about the right food choices.
Energy Club is recruiting, training and supporting a community of volunteers (primarily parents and friends) to help run 30 minute sessions at Primary Schools outside of school hours.
Funded by the Cabinet Office via the Social Action Fund, their plan is to have sessions in 900 schools in 2013, with up to 9,000 volunteers active in communities throughout England.
