Coronavirus, an update from Active Cornwall

FREE Workshops available for local providers!

Workshops

Work with young people aged 14 to 25 and trying to get them active? Want to access funding to grow participation in sport for this age group?

If so come along to one of two free workshops Cornwall Sports Partnerships are running across the county to support local providers when working with this group.

The evenings will look at:
• The recently published Youth Insights Pack from Sport England
• How to deliver an engaging session for this age group
• Sportivate funding to sustain the inactive in regular activity

Sport England has undertaken significant research during 2014 into the challenge of growing youth participation in sport. The findings of this research have been collated into a Youth Insights Pack that highlights what works and what research is there about how to motivate and influence this important age group.

Many projects have aimed to increase the number of young people playing sport but the rate of participation has historically been fairly flat across Cornwall and these workshops are aimed at helping you to increase these participation rates and sustain young people in community sport.

The workshops are as follows:
1. Monday 19th January 2015 - 6.30pm to 9.00pm @ Polkyth Leisure Centre
2. Wednesday 21st January 2015 - 6.30pm to 9.00pm @ Carn Brea Hub Club

To reserve a place please contact Jenna Pickering at the Cornwall Sports Partnership at jpickering@cornwall.gov.uk or 01872 323344 with your name, name of organisation, contact number and email address.

Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment!
