GBUK announced as headline sponsor of 2012 cornwall Sports Awards

GBUK

In November the seventh annual Cornwall Sports Awards will be taking place in Newquay and this year the event will be bigger than ever before due to sponsorship support from Golf Brochures UK.

The countywide event, staged for the first time in 2006, has been designed to recognise and honour the contributions made by dedicated volunteer sports coaches, officials, clubs and young leaders from across the county.

Adding value to the prestigious event this year, Golf Brochures UK will be supplying every worthy attendee with a goodie bag and assisting the Cornwall Sports Partnership in organising the event.

Natasha Howard, from the Cornwall Sports Partnership, explains: "It's fantastic news that Golf Brochures UK has sponsored the 2012 Cornwall Sports Awards. Because the Awards are set up to reward local sports volunteers it's wonderful to have additional support and funding to be able to give all our well-deserved nominees and winners a truly momentous evening that they'll never forget.

"With this being such a tremendous year for sport, we are honoured to be able to recognise and reward all the people that do so much for grassroots sport in Cornwall and who are the unsung heroes behind local sport!"

A fitting sponsor for the Cornwall Sports Awards, Golf Brochures UK provides marketing material for Golf Clubs of all shapes and sizes. Whether they are a privately owned or a public course, the company offers a completely free consultation service to pinpoint exact marketing needs, for the perfect target audience and completely free of charge to the club.

Nominations for the 2012 Cornwall Sports Awards have been open for a few weeks and deserving volunteers are already being put forward. But, there is still plenty of time to make a nomination as the deadline is 31 August. So, if you know somebody who does great things for sport in your local community, make sure you make your nomination and give them the recognition they deserve.
