Inclusive Sport - Second Round of Funding Now Open!
On 7 September 2013, National Paralympic Day, Sport England announced a further £8 million of National Lottery funding to give disabled people more opportunities to get involved in sport. They will invest a further £7 million through the Inclusive Sport fund and £1 million in Get Equipped, a new disability equipment fund.
Competition for the first round of Inclusive Sport funding was extremely high and, given the number and quality of the applications, sSport England decided it would be appropriate to carry out a second round of funding.
If you would like to apply for funding in Round 2, it is strongly advise you take into account the feedback you received on your initial application. You will be required to complete a new application, although the format will be very similar to Round 1.
Over the next month, Sport England will be holding a series of half-day workshops for potential applicants before the fund opens for applications in early October 2013.
Further details about the fund and how to register for a workshop are available on the Sport England website.
