There's just one more week until Cornwall School Games kick off across the county!

To make the event as inclusive as possible during these unusual times, the games will once again be virtual to encourage children and young people to get active.

With a series of challenges that are now live the Lockdown 3.0 Virtual Cornwall School Games will officially begin on February 1.

Active Cornwall is encouraging schools, parents and young people to sign up and take part.

The games and challenges can be accessed now via our website, or by downloading the Playwaze app to your phone.

Start by visiting www.activecornwall.org/cornwallschoolgames/virtual-challenges where you can also explore the challenge finder, register and join our "Cornwall School Games Virtual Challenges" community.

Whether you're hoping to achieve a personal best or just have fun, the games are a great opportunity for all, whilst at home with your family.

The Lockdown 3.0 Virtual Cornwall School Games will run from February 1 - 5 and enable children and young people to represent their school year groups when competing in in sports based challenges.

Schools will be able to get their pupils to take part in the challenges and can submit results throughout this week.

Challenge cards and resources will be made available on our website here from today (25th January) so that schools can begin to direct their pupils towards the challenges and get practicing!
