Lunchtime Trampolining is all the rage for Penwith College Students!
Hundreds of Penwith College students have started the new year with a taste of the Healthy Lifestyle, thanks to new lunchtime activities being offered at the College, as part of the Health, Wellbeing and Sport programme.
The activities that have been added to the already extremely successful programme include trampolining, Futsol and basketball, with other sessions in the pipeline including boxercise and open water swimming. The majority of the sessions take place on the College campus, with the exception of trampolining which is currently being hosted at the Penzance Leisure centre.
The new drop-in sessions are for all levels of ability, specifically targeting students who do not regularly participate in sports activities. The take up of the activities has been extremely high, and has led to further expansion of the programme.
Julian Wills, College Sports Maker, said "We have number of the students who are coming in on their days off to participate in the sessions, before going to the learning centre to complete assignments. I am delighted we have created an environment where sport is helping students not only become healthy, but also develop academically"
