Newquay Indoor Bowling Club Awarded Clubmark Status

On Friday 22nd November 2013, Cornwall Sports Partnership was pleased to present members of Newquay Indoor Bowling Club with their Clubmark status award.

The Clubmark Award gives accreditation to clubs who ensure a safe, child friendly and effective playing place for everyone.

The certificate was presented to the club by Natasha Howard from the Cornwall Sports Partnerships.

Jill Bunt, Secretary to the Board at Newquay Indoor Bowling Club said "We are very please to have been successful in our application.  The process is very thorough and gave us the opportunity to examine in detail how our club is run.
Members can now be assured that their club complies with all the current requirements as regards health and safety, child protection and equality standards.

Our thanks in particular go to Tim Marrion of the Cornwall Sports Partnership for his support and guidance".

Tim from the Cornwall Sports Partnership said "It is great to see another club and especially a Bowls club achieve Clubmark in Cornwall. This proves this club is doing everything right and can officially call themselves a child friendly safe effective sports clubs. We look forward to working with Newquay Indoor Bowls Club to offer more opportunities to young people in the Newquay area to play and try a different sport".

Newquay Indoor Bowling Club welcomes potential new members to come and try Bowls for free with their free taster sessions.

Sessions run from 8am till 10pm seven days a week, in the warmth, with full disabled facilities available, so there really is nothing stopping anyone from giving it a try.
