Nominations are open for the 2013 CPSU Safeguarding Stars awards

The CSPU has launched the 2013 Safeguarding Stars awards.

This is the second year of the awards and they are seeking nominations for those people in the role of Safeguarding Officer at club or activity level or for young people who have made 'going the extra mile' contributions to safeguarding children and young people in sport. For example, individuals who have gone beyond their actual role or remit in some way to ensure children and young people are safeguarded.

All nominees will receive an acknowledgment from the CPSU. Like the 2011 awards, a panel of young people will review the nominations and select six nominees who they believe have provided outstanding contributions to safeguarding in their club, organisation or sport. These nominees will be invited to attend the CPSU conference 'From grass roots to elite sport - children and young people's experiences' on 9th October 2013 which will include a  Safeguarding Stars presentation.
