The summer of ping pong, courtesy of Ping! Cornwall, came to a fantastic close on Sunday the 25th of August with the King of Ping! tournament at Heartlands in Pool.

Over 120 people came along on the day to play on the free tables with the King of Ping! tournament kicking off at 1pm. Fantastic players - both youngsters and adults - took to the tables with a chance to be crowned King of Ping, and also to win some fantastic prizes and the coveted King of Ping! trophy.

Ping! Cornwall saw over 5,000 people play ping pong during the month of August and tables popped up everywhere from in the Bude Sea Pool to partying at the Boardmasters festival in Newquay. Tables will continue to pop up for people to play and please get in touch here if you would like a table at your organisation!

The King of Ping! winners on the day were Jessica Fox, who was the children's runner up with Frasier Winfield winning the children's competition. The adult's runner up was Dave Waddington with Matt Trevorrow winning the adult's competition.

The ping pong tables that have travelled the county will now find permanent homes across Cornwall, which will hopfully act as a catalyst for more people and organisations to organise their own regular ping pong activities now the formal programme of Ping! events has come to an end.
