Coronavirus, an update from Active Cornwall

Promote your sports club, activities, sessions and events for free!

Are you a fitness instructor? Do you run a sports club? Do you provide activities aimed at getting people more physically active?

... If so, a new online physical activity resource for Cornwall is looking for your help to get the county inspired, motivated and active!, a new website developed specifically to inspire and motivate Cornish residents to be more active has recently gone live.

Designed primarily for those of the Cornish population who currently do little to no exercise, Get Active Cornwall provides useful tips and advice on how to get started. Without preaching, it explains the benefits of being active and keeping fit; in an attempt to coax people gently off their sofa and on their feet!

It offers a first stepping stone for anybody looking to get started, particularly with its searchable database of activities. It’s possible to tailor this search specifically to personal requirements – whether that be cost, location, time, fitness level, type of activity, age, gender, health condition…… With more happening across the county than people realise, it’s the perfect opportunity to find the perfect activity!

It also gives instructors and providers the ideal platform to advertise their classes and activities for free. Plus, to make things simpler and more efficient, they can upload all their information themselves and add or change details as and when they need.

This exciting new website has been developed using funding received from the Department of Health and is being coordinated by the Cornwall Sports Partnership in collaboration with the Primary Care Trust, LEAP Active and Cornwall Council, amongst other partners.
