Cornwall Community Foundation are distributing £15,000.00Red Nose Day Community Cash to communities across Cornwall.

Red Nose Day Community Cash grants of £500-£1,000 are available to small organisations in the areas that are doing great work to help local people living tough lives.

Groups eligible to apply for Red Nose Day Community Cash grants need to:

Be working in a disadvantaged or deprived area in Cornwall
Be small local groups with an income of less that £100,000 (in the last year) run by local people

The programme looks to support work where there is clear evidence of a beneficial impact on people's lives who are excluded or disadvantaged through low income, rural or social isolation, age, disabilities, race, sexuality or gender. Priority will be given to small, locally based groups or organisations in areas of disadvantage that have a clear understanding of the needs of their community and are undertaking work that helps people of all ages feel more included in their community, builds their skills and increases their sense of achievement. For example:

Building skills and improving access to employment
Healthy lifestyles
Migrant work
People with disabilities
Promoting community cohesion
Reducing  isolation
Substance  misuse
Vulnerable  people

Examples of the type of activities we will fund (this is an example but not a definitive list):

Parent and toddler groups
Dads and lads groups
Equipment and materials for sports groups
Community festivals
Cross generational work
Lunch clubs
Running costs for self help groups
Committee and volunteer/staff training
Grants will not be awarded to the following:

To individuals
To statutory organisations, including schools
Groups who are not constituted
