Sport and Recreation Alliance - Community Sport and Recreation Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Sport and Recreation Alliance Awards to recognise sporting organisations or professional clubs for their achievements.
These annual awards from the Sport and Recreation Alliance are designed to highlight the breadth of work that is undertaken in the community sport and recreation sector. The awards are now in their 20th year and offer the opportunity for exceptional clubs to be recognised for the excellent work they do.
The awards, formerly the Sports Club of the Year Awards, changed their name to reflect the wide variety of members' activities and include new categories to recognise the breadth of work that is carried out by the sport and recreation sector as a whole.
This year, awards and prize money will be presented for the categories of:
- Community Sport and Recreation Overall Winner - £2,000
- Volunteer Management - £1,000
- School Links - £1,000
- Professional Club Community Programme of the Year Award - £1,000
- Green Thinking - £1,000
- Innovative Project Award - £1,000
All types of sport and recreation organisations are eligible to enter; however, the entry must be endorsed by the club's national governing body, head office, or a county sports partnership.
The deadline for nominations is 3 May 2013.Click here to make your nomination
