Truro is getting active this summer!

Truro will be hosting its annual sports festival as part of their 'Get Active Truro' programme from 10th to 16th August on Lemon Quay in Truro.

The event which is organised by Cornwall Sports Partnership, Totally Truro BID and Truro City Council will bringing an abundance of activities to the city centre, offering FREE tasters and demos.

Natasha Howard, event organiser from Cornwall Sports Partnership said; "The annual sports festival which takes place in August has been really popular over the past 5 years, and we are delighted to bring back an array of sports ranging from fencing to rugby to bmx and wall climbing. There really is something for everyone!".



'Get Active Truro' (originally 'Be Active Truro' in recent years) is designed to support more people of all abilities in getting the recommended 30 minutes of activity, five days a week to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Activities to see and try, take place from 10am to 4pm each day, and will include Hockey, Swamp Circus, BMX stunt display, archery, Healthwatch, cricket, rounder's, yoga a climbing wall, a traditional sports day and much more.

Sunday 16th will feature some brand new sports to the festival including a Tuff Enuff trial, Dodgeball tournament and a Nerf Gun tournament!.
