Healthy Workplace Awards

Truro and Penwith College have been recognised for providing a healthy environment for their staff to work in. The College recently were awarded the Health Promotions 'Bronze Healthy Workplace Award'.

The Healthy Workplace Awards are a three stage accreditation system that recognises good practices and procedures within working environments. To achieve the award the College has demonstrated that staff are provided with a supportive infrastructure at work, that ensures staff health and wellbeing are at the forefront of the College's considerations.

To achieve the accreditation the College provided evidence of counselling support, sustainable travel provision and healthy eating options within the establishment. They also demonstrated good practice in the way it offers free sport and physical activity to all its staff throughout the week, via the Health, Wellbeing and Sport programme.
