Young Cornish Coach Honoured by England Squash & Racketball!
Cornwall's Rory Brickell has been honoured at England Squash & Racketball's annual Conference with the Young Coach of the Year award.
Rory was recognised for his work in developing squash and racketball in his native county across all levels from beginner and recreational through to county squads.
Ironically, Rory was unable to attend the Awards Dinner due to his coaching commitments but was presented with his award a few days later by Ian Thomas at the South West Regional Squad.
Held each December at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre, the ESR Conference aims to bring together and inspire coaches and volunteers from all over the country via a wide range of interactive workshops, key note presentations from within and outside the sport and plenty of on-court sessions sharing the very latest techniques and coaching philosophies being used at the very highest level of the game.
The event drew a record attendance of over 100 coaches and club volunteers.
The two-day event incorporates the ESR Awards dinner, during which the best coaches and clubs from around the country are recognised for their efforts and outstanding achievements.
Many thanks to all who supported the event, we're looking forward to hosting you all again next season and will warmly welcome any new faces too!.
