The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Physical Activity Strategy has been developed jointly between Cornwall Council Public Health and Active Cornwall, with input from a wide range of stakeholders and key partners. It is designed as a local response to Public Health England's framework Everybody Active Every Day and includes specific recommendations from National Institute for Health & Care Excellence (NICE) and the outcomes of 'Towards an Active Nation' the government's strategy for sport and physical activity. Its primary aim is to reduce the number of people who are inactive (less than 30 minutes activity per week) and increase the number of people meeting Chief Medical Officer guidelines for good health (minimum 150 minutes per week). Read the full Physical Activity Strategy below.

The strategy highlights an approach that engages the whole system in tackling this stubborn problem and provides a framework for cross sector, multi-agency partners built around a number of future priorities and key recommendations:
