Time2Move Holiday Activities Programme – Christmas 2022!

Become a coach this Christmas!

Are you looking for work during the school holidays? We are looking for coaches to help support our upcoming Christmas Time2Move Holiday Programme!

We are running the programme in leisure centres throughout Cornwall and will require support in these. This work will be flexible and can be suited to you as an individual and when you are available.

The minimum standards required are:

  • NGB L2 or QTS
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children. (We are running training courses for First Aid and Safeguarding which you can be enrolled onto if this is required.)
  • DBS – we will process a new DBS for you ahead of the programme.
  • You will be working with children ranging in age from 5-16, supporting them in multisport activities for four hours a day.

Our new provider grants

The Time2Move Holiday Programme wishes to award two new grants to providers this Christmas.

The Innovation Grant is open to those who that wish to test and learn in certain areas that address some of the challenges we face with the success of the programme.

Our Training Grant aims to support providers so your provision becomes sustainable.

Time2Move Innovation Grants

Our innovation grants are for providers that wish to test and learn in certain areas that address some of the challenges we face with the success of the programme.

All successful grants need to address one or more of the following and be willing to feedback the success and learning of the grant:

1. An increase in FSM participants – innovative ways to promote your programme and improve the awareness of your programme to parents of children on benefits related free school meals.

2. Increase throughput – innovative ways to encourage children on benefits related free school meals to attend more days and come back to your provision.

3. An enhanced food offer – innovative ways to improve your food provision and nutritional education to not only children but the parents and guardians of children attending your activity.

4. Increasing the number of secondary age children attending your provision – innovative ways to ensure your offer is more suitable and attractive for older children.

5. Reduce the number of ‘no shows’ – innovative ways to ensure those children that book on your provision attend.

6. Improve the provision for children with SEND. Ensuring your provision is more suitable for children with SEND, potentially specifically targeting this group of children.

Time2Move Training Grant

The Time2Move Holiday Programme wishes to award training grants to providers to support them to ensure they provision becomes sustainable.

These grants can be for any training required to improve, sustain and enhance their current holiday provision and could include generic safeguarding, first aid training or more specific training and qualifications relevant for their provision.

All successful grants will be reimbursed once the training has been completed and evidence of payment and completion submitted. The training can take place anytime from April 2022 to end of March 2023.

To apply please simply email Time2Move.HolidayProgramme@cornwall.gov.uk with details of the training including the full cost, title and dates it was or will be delivered. Once approved we will request evidence before the funds are released.
