Better Years
Making exercise inclusive and fun for inactive over 55 year olds.
Improving physical and mental wellbeing for people aged 55 and over is the aim of new multi-activity sessions being run in Cornwall.
Anyone who is currently inactive, new to exercise or has health conditions could benefit from the activities that will be both fun and social.
Active Cornwall is working in partnership with leisure centre providers to support the funded programme ‘Better Years’.
The clubs include activities such badminton, low level class, gym activity and swimming, in welcoming environments to ensure everyone feels comfortable.
Whether it’s a case of enjoying exercise for the first time, or returning to it after an extended break, there’s also a chance to relax and make new friends over a coffee during and after the sessions.
Centres will offer four weeks of introductory sessions for free to help individuals gain confidence and return to activity.
