Coronavirus has meant that most of us have been spending more time at home and this is particularly the case for those of us who are older and/or living with health conditions and shielding because of higher risk.
As a result, our range of normal activities has been severely limited by the lockdown and social distancing rules and many of us are moving less. Furthermore, more than half of all adults are experiencing increased levels of worry and feelings of isolation.
Keeping active during this period is more important than it has ever been. Ensuring that you sit less and move more is one of the best things that you can do to help improve your overall physical and mental health, reduce the chances of serious illness or falls and prepare well for the time when leaving the home feels more comfortable.
